A Pantoum Poem: Old Mice by Oliver Ames
Old Mice
Mice grow old too
With large grey whiskers they leave
When I tell you this, don't boo
The mice do fall to the ground like leaves
With large grey whiskers they leave
And not to sleep like tree leaves do
The mice do fall to the ground like leaves
Oh please little child don't boo!
And not to sleep like tree leaves do
Little mice weep like falling leaves
OH please little children don't boo!
The mice will return like leaves
Little mice weep like falling leaves
Mice grow old too
The mice will return like leaves
When I tell you this don't boo.
